Brian Dixon
Grants Manager & Program Officer
Since 2012, Brian Dixon (he/him) has served in many roles with the W. Clement & Jessie V. Stone Foundation. He is currently the Grants Manager and Program Officer in which he works with grantees throughout the entire grantmaking process. He also supports the Foundation’s gatherings, including the Trustee Board Meetings, and the annual Grantee Convening. The Grantee Convening is one of his favorite events of the year because it brings together grantees from all three of the Foundation’s portfolios for engaging conversation and networking designed to build strong relationships that achieve more equitable outcomes.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Brian spent his career working in churches in the Southern United States and in San Francisco. His entire working life has been supporting people who wanted to be in community and do good work in the world. He sets a table so that people can come together to build deeper and richer community.
He received a Bachelors of Science from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina and a Masters of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. When he is not supporting communities, he is likely to be seeing live theater, out running on the streets of Philadelphia or eating. (You should ask him about his favorite sandwiches. He has a list!)
